this cd cover design by brezinka design has a great vintage look. it’s great when vintage comes across as genuine rather than “i wish i was vintage (sigh).”

    Oooh I like it.
You see a lot of Faux Vintage these days. It refreshing to see a design pull it of with out the Faux.

Though it begs to ask, whats the difference from Faux Vintage and inspired by Vintage?

    Ps. I love your site!

i think that a certain “flatness” ads to the vintage look. not having an abundance of 3d objects and the like. what else? probably printing method or paper too. using a matte stock would be best.

A-ha. I despised faux-vintage at first, but I have grown to like its kitschiness. Still, the real deal is such a novelty. There is an aged quality that no amount of Photoshop work can replicate.

I absolutely love vintage tins! Not many around, but they are true gems!
