call me uncultured, unlearned, or what ever you will, but i don’t like opera music. i don’t have some sort of moral cause against it, it’s just not in my taste buds. sorry. but this series of posters for the portland opera by sockeye creative sure make it look appealing. the super-saturated color is lovely as well as the simple, stripped-down shapes that still communicate what the object is (the sails in the flying dutchman for example). will i be more apt to go to the opera? probably not, but i may do a double take at the posters.
