what's so great about your company, organization or project? really, what is it? because if there's nothing great about what you do, it may be time for a career change. but if what you're doing is beautiful, i want to be a part. because the things that make you beautiful are the foundational ideas for design thinking .

the things that make you beautiful are the things that also make you desirable. it’s simple really. people desire what they think is beautiful, whether it be pretty to look at, fun to use, pleasing to hear or any number of manifestations of beauty. people desire happiness, and the things that make them happy are the things they think are beautiful.

how will people know that you can provide them with something beautiful? you have to communicate that to them of course. how will they know if they are not told? either by you, or an advertisement, or your website? somehow, they must be told. and the way that your communication looks, the visual aspects of it, are indispensable. if you have a beautiful company, organization or project and your visual articulation of it is unattractive, not only is it not effective, it may be decidedly detrimental to you.

so, the goal, simply put, is to communicate the beauty of your company, organization or project clearly and effectively with beautiful visuals.

my method is to listen. and listen some more. you will be supplied with a creative brief which contains focused questions to help you articulate what it is that makes you great. i meditate on this. i discuss it with you. and i listen some more.

my method is also to think. it’s why i describe what i do as “thoughtful design.” i think about what you’ve said. i research possible solutions. and i think some more. and more.

finally, my method is to execute. a favorite maxim is that “an idea is only as good as it’s best manifestation.” i’m a highly skilled design craftsman. i have the know how to execute high concepts with clarity and impact.
