we’re always interested in the things that inspire other designers, so we thought perhaps that the feeling is mutual, at least for a few folks out there. so here’s some links to some of the music the helps keep our work fresh;
jazz – and lots of it. sometimes rock is too heavy and loud, and classical to arrhythmic. jazz (think vince guaraldi and bill evans) is a perfect blend of the mellowness of classical and the rhythm of rock. dave and i agree that jazz is perfect for plowing through a row of tasks.
to be loved, thad cockrell – the only country music that i ever loved. thad’s rhythms and melodies are like the blend of a chugging train and a flowing river.
feedback, derek webb – the lord’s prayer, synthesized. and beautifully at that. derek continues to break stereotypes.
the suburbs, arcade fire – yeah, a cliché favorite, but for a good reason.
